Under 15s beat Cambridgeshire

The U-15 Essex team continued their good start to the season with a comfortable victory over Cambs at Billericay CC on Sunday 5th June.

Essex won the toss and batted first, scoring 208 all out with the last wicket falling in the penultimate over of the 35 allowed. Joanne Cook top scored in the innings with a fine 75. Other excellent contributions came from Danielle Armes with 39 and Rachel Barron, 18.

Cambridgeshire were then reduced to 26 for 7 at the start of their innings thanks to devastating bowling spells from Danielle Armes and Joanne Cook. However their lower order recovered slightly to increase the total to 104-9 from the 35 overs. A win for Essex by 104 runs.
