Breaking New Ground

Becky Palmer, a member of the Essex U-15 girls team, became the first girl to represent Forest School in any of their cricket teams last Saturday.

Becky played in the U-14A team and produced a good display taking 2 wickets, including that of one of the county boys U-14’s, and also scoring 8 not out at the end of the Forest innings.

  Spirit of the Game

"Cricket is a game that owes much of its unique appeal to the fact that it should be played not only within the Laws, but also within the Spirit of the Game. Any action which is seen to abuse this spirit causes injury to game itself."
