Week Four

Warm up

Cone Transfer
The class is split into groups of four or five. Each group has a row of six or more cones. The groups the transfer the cones along the row, one person and one cone at a time, to the top cone and return. The cones can then be moved so as lateral movement is involved. This exercise incorporates Running, ability to use speed under control transference of self and objects.

Main Theme
Bowling
All participants coached to bowl, underarm and over arm. Coach to demonstrate. For pupils that can already bowl make the point that these sessions will help their technique.
Wicket Keeping
In pairs using a large cone as a wicket. Coach to demonstrate the technique of wicket keeping, pupils to perform technique. This exercise will encourage pupils to use their agility, balance dexterity and ambidextrousness.

Game Activity
Bowlers versus Wicket Keepers
Split group into two, place two sets of wickets about 15 meters apart, indicate with a cone a position for pupils to stand, one group by one stump the other group by the other stump. First group bowls second group keeps. Count the number of hits on the stumps.

Comments
The game in this plan allows the group to use the techniques learnt during the session.
